We can be heard throughout the year singing for civic and charitable organizations, private groups, churches, community events, and fundraisers. Our director is the wonderful Barb Sampson who inspires us to reach new heights with each performance.
Panama City A Cappella is committed to the advancement of women's a cappella singing - often known as 'Barbershop' - and we continue to seek motivated, talented women who love to sing. Membership is open to the public, and no special training is required. If you can carry a tune and you love to sing, we may be just what you're looking for! Within Panama City A Cappella you will find opportunities to sing, perform, entertain, and grow through music education and leadership. And, best of all, you will find friendships that last a lifetime!
We love to entertain by putting on our own musical events each year for the community, our friends, and family. In an effort to stay commited to singing and performing at the highest level possible, we plan to compete each year in our Area 6 contest.
Panama City A Cappella served as the mic testers at the Area 6 Competition and Conference in Jacksonville in April 2019. What a great day that was! Although we were not competing, having just joined the Harmony, Inc. organization in March, we were still evaluated and given a score for our performance. We were thrilled to find out we would have qualified for a spot on the International stage if we had actually competed!! WOW!! You may not think that is a big deal, but for us it was amazing. We look forward to becoming an integral part of the Harmony, Inc. family and work with the amazing women of Area 6.
